Air & Waste Management Association
The Air & Waste Management Association’s (A&WMA) purpose is to improve environmental knowledge and decisions by providing a neutral forum for exchanging information. The local chapters hold regular meetings with featured guest speakers discussing current and emerging air and waste topics and related impacts to the local community. Senior Project Scientist, Tiffany Dillow, REM, serves as Vice Chairman of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the AWMA and is a Past Chairman of the South Atlantic States Section (SASS). For the Central Texas Chapter in Austin, Texas, Senior Project Engineer Eric Quiat, PE serves as Treasurer along with Principal Lucy Fraiser, PhD as the Industry Director.  The Chapter’s public outreach efforts include promoting environmental awareness through presentations, educational materials, and overseeing teacher-training workshops. Zephyr staff consistently serve on the committee for the annual Hot Air Topics Conference hosted by the Houston-based Gulf Coast Chapter, which disburses over $15,000 in scholarships to students at local area colleges each year.

Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals
Molly McKenna, Zephyr’s Corporate Health & Safety Officer and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), serves as the President of the Lone Star Texas Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP), formerly the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers, Inc. Zephyr’s Linda Salzar, CHMM, HazMat Academy Instructor and Staff Scientist, also serves as the Chapter Secretary. AHMP is a professional association with a membership of more than 4,000 of the nation’s leading experts in environmental, health, safety, and security management, and is the only national organization devoted to the professional advancement of the hazardous materials management field.

American Institute of Chemical Engineers
Zephyr participates in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with over 45,000 members from over 100 countries. AIChE has the breadth of resources and expertise you need whether you are in core process industries or emerging areas, such as nanobiotechnology. Greg Gromicko, PE, MBA is a member of the Susquehanna Local Section of AIChE providing grassroots support for AIChE, essential to meeting the needs of chemical engineers locally.

CLEAN AIR Force of Central Texas
Zephyr is an active member of the CLEAN AIR Force of Central Texas, a nonprofit made up of local businesses, governments, universities, and health/environmental groups that work together to improve air quality. Zephyr has helped develop Central Texas’ Early Action Compact (EAC) which created a menu of voluntary ground-level ozone precursor emission reduction activities (e.g., prohibiting long-term idling of delivery vehicles and passenger vehicles, mandatory emissions testing in Travis and Williamson Counties, etc.) that have been implemented by local governments and accepted by the TCEQ and US EPA as part of the State Implementation Plan (SIP). Clean Air Partners
Zephyr is a member of the Clean Air Partners Program (CAPP) which was formed in Central Texas in 2001 to obtain local company commitments to reduce unhealthy, ground-level ozone. Bonnie Blam, a Certified Safety Professional, participates in the program on Zephyr’s behalf to contribute to the CAPP’s data collection process and to educate other Zephyr employees on how we as individuals and as a company can lesson our impact on Austin air quality. Engineering Society of York
Established in 1910, the Engineering Society of York (ESOY) was originally created to exchange thoughts and ideas on technical articles but quickly grew into an organization which promotes the engineering industry, while also providing support to York County students who wish to pursue a career in engineering. Today the society is comprised of over 100 members who can participate in monthly tours of local companies and lectures delivered by key individuals of the industry and community. Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corporation
Zephyr is a member of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC). The mission of the organization is to be a catalyst for policy change, for job creation and for business growth in the area that enhances the quality of life in our region. The group represents a strong group of diverse business who are committed to the success of our region and each other. With more than 1,400 members ranging from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies, the organization provides the opportunity to interact with a broad network of businesses and professionals throughout Central Pennsylvania.

International Erosion Control Association
The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is the world’s oldest and largest association devoted to helping members solve the problems caused by erosion and its byproduct-sediment. IECA has 2,500+ members who specialize in stormwater management and natural resource protection. Zephyr’s Julie Morelli serves as the Technical Vice President on the Board of Directors for the local South Central Chapter of IECA, which represents Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana and is comprised of environmental professionals who specialize in stormwater management, water quality, and best management practices.

International Facility Management Association
Zephyr is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals, supporting 24,000 members in 104 countries. This diverse membership participates in focused component groups equipped to address their unique situations by region, industry, and areas of interest. Together they manage more than 78 billion square feet of property and annually purchase more than US$526 billion in products and services.

Maryland Green Registry
Zephyr is an active member of the Maryland Green Registry, a program developed by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) which is responsible for a wide range of regulatory programs that protect the state’s air, land and water resources. By demonstrating our commitment to environmental initiatives, Zephyr’s Baltimore office was able to successfully demonstrate reductions in the environmental footprint of the office by innovative sustainable practices.

Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry
Zephyr is a member of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, which was founded on Dec. 16, 1916 by a group of more than 100 influential business leaders from 35 Pennsylvania cities representing 50 local chambers of commerce, boards of trade and similar organizations who recognized the need for a unified voice for business in the halls of the state Capitol. Headquartered in Harrisburg, and with offices in Pittsburgh and Allentown, today’s PA Chamber is the largest broad-based business association in Pennsylvania. Our membership comprises thousands of member businesses of all sizes and industry sectors throughout the state—from sole proprietors to Fortune 100 companies—representing nearly 50 percent of the private workforce in the Commonwealth.

Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists
The Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists (PCPG) represents the premier organization for the advancement of the ethical and professional practice of geology in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PCPG advances the practice of geology and allied sciences through advocacy, education, and networking. James “Jim” Young, PG has been an active member for almost 20 years, having served a term on PCPG’s Board of Directors as well as participation on the Education and Communications Committees. Mr. Young has also developed and taught coursework for the organization in regard to groundwater sampling and analytical protocols.

Portland Cement Association
Zephyr is an active member of the Portland Cement Association (PCA), which represents America’s cement manufacturers. PCA takes an active role in industry advocacy for increased infrastructure investment, jobs creation, passage of a new highway bill in the United States, and the establishment of fair and reasonable emissions guidelines that protect the environment while helping to get the economy back on track.

San Antonio Manufacturers Association
Zephyr is an active member of the San Antonio Manufacturers Association (SAMA), the voice of and advocate for the manufacturing industry in the greater San Antonio metropolitan area.  On their behalf, SAMA influences public policy and regulatory matters affecting manufacturing and guides the education and training of future generations of manufacturers.  SAMA facilitates the sharing of best known practices, workforce development and business opportunities while fostering relationships for the benefit of its members. Julie Morelli serves on the Environmental Committee for SAMA.

Semiconductor Environmental Safety and Health Association
Zephyr is a member of SESHA, the premier environmental, safety, and health association serving the global semiconductor and associated technology industries who provides value to its members through education and professional development.

TCEQ EnviroMentor Program
A number of Zephyr staff members serve as EnviroMentors; qualified professionals with technical or legal expertise on environmental issues who volunteer to help small businesses and local governments comply with state environmental rules, either through one-on-one contact or in a teaching situation. In the last six years, Zephyr staff members have donated over 380 hours of time to Texas small businesses struggling to meet environmental compliance requirements.

York College Chemical Industry Advisory Council
The York College Chemical Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) is a consortium of member companies involved with chemistry. Supported by regional business that employ chemists, the CIAC recognized the value of enhancing students’ academic experience and mentoring student today for tomorrow’s workforce. Members are committed to partnering with York College to build a steady flow of job-ready graduates for their business. Zephyr is a member company and Greg Gromicko, PE, MBA is part of the meeting subcommittee of the CIAC.

York County Economic Alliance
Zephyr is a member of the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA) is a 501(c )6 organization founded in 2012 through an affiliation between York County’s chamber and economic development organizations. It is the county’s primary business resource for facilitating expansion, funding, redevelopment, networking, business-to-business promotion, and workforce development among many other services. The YCEA’s mission is to lead economic growth, connect local businesses to resources and each other, and advocate for business and the community to create a prosperous York County. Greg Gromicko, PE, MBA is also a member of the Economics Club, the economic development membership arm of the YCEA.
